Doris Faye Pumphrey

March 7, 1961 ~ June 10, 2021
Doris Faye Pumphrey age 60 died with her husband at her side June 10, 2021 in
Golden Colorado.
A visitation was held June 17,2021 at Stork Bullock Family Mortuary in Lakewood.
Doris was born March 07, 1961 in Denver to Marilyn Faye (Reiter) and Floyd J.B.
Pumphrey. She grew up in Wheatridge and attended local schools. She could
raise a ruckus but also remain devout and grateful for every day’s blessings.
She worked as a waitress, nurse’s aide, caretaker for developmentally disabled and
saleswoman.
Doris loved being a woman living life with style and fashion. She was
spontaneous, observant, persistent, passionate, and enthusiastic. An expert shopper
who knew how to stretch her money and where to get anything. She favored
family and friends visiting, practical jokes, Nashville, music, dancing, road trips,
Puerto Peñasco, fish tacos, fast cars, rodeos, fishing, holidays, picnics, black &
white movies, Houston and Sam’s Boat, Golden and the Round Table Gang,
growing flowers and crafting bouquets in pretty vases.
She enjoyed watching and listening to our neighbor’s children play and children’s
books. Her other great loves were dogs especially hounds and specifically
Dachshunds, though a couple Terriers also found her heart.
Doris is survived by her husband Owen Dull, sister Debbie Tillman, sister Terri
Miller, brother Steve Tillman, cousin Guy Wickes, Debbie’s daughters Michelle
Franks-Young and Traci Wilkinson, Michelle’s children Autumn Lucas, and
Mason Young, Traci’s husband Aaron Wilkinson and their son Orion Wilkinson.
She left too soon and is dearly missed.
