Daniel Patrick McGrath

Daniel Patrick McGrath (“Dan”), age 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Dan was born on May 26, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, where he remained a lifelong resident.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis McGrath and Billie McGrath (Pedersen). Dan attended South High School and followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming a master plumber.

Dan had a lifelong love of the Colorado mountains and was an excellent skier. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, skiing whenever he could, and was equally passionate about tennis. Dan loved watching sports, working on his car, shooting, and relaxing with a good western novel.

Dan maintained many longtime friendships and will be missed by the friends and coworkers who knew him well over the years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson.

He is survived by his children, Nicole Scott and Tyler McGrath; his grandson, Alex; his great-grandaughter Callahan; and his siblings, Timothy McGrath and Patty McGrath.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Dan’s life will be held later this spring in Winter Park, Colorado. Additional details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
