Barbara D. Grupe

Born in Oak Park, Illinois on November 24, 1931 to Aquelins and Mary Ann
DeAngeles. Barbara graduated from Proviso High School in 1949. She went on to
attend The University of Montana at Bozeman. She married John William (Jack)
Grupe on November 26, 1959. Together they have five children, Scott Grupe of
Mundelein, Illinois; Greg Grupe of Port Townsend, Washington; Laura (Grupe)
Owsley of Greenwood Village; John Grupe Jr. of Aurora, Colorado; and Tom Grupe
of Englewood, Colorado. She also has 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
Christine Grupe, Amanda Owsley, Sam Owsley, Jack Grupe, Mary Owsley, Joe
Owsley, Michaelanne Grupe, Ray Sanchez, Arlo Randall, Ethan Sanchez, and Zane
Sanchez.
Barb and Jack retired in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1990. Jack passed
away peacefully on June 9, 1992. Their grandchildren all loved and adored her
and her house in Steamboat. They couldn't wait for summer so they could go
spend a week with Meemah. Barbara joined Jack on June 4, 2008. Barbara enjoyed
sewing, painting, drawing and knitting. Private services to be held. In lieu
