Mary Margaret White passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026.
Born to Eileen Thompson Peale and Harry Peale, Margaret was one of four children and the last surviving sibling. She was raised in Oklahoma, where she developed a lifelong love for the University of Oklahoma and remained a devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan throughout her life.
Margaret dedicated 30 years of service as Executive Secretary of the Tulsa Rotary Club. She deeply valued her work and built lasting friendships through Rotary. Her role provided opportunities to travel extensively throughout North America and around the world, attending major Rotary conventions and often extending her travels to explore new countries and cultures alongside fellow Rotary executives.
In September 1934, Margaret married the love of her life, Robert M. White. Together they built a family centered on love, tradition, and faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was supporting her family. Whether attending sporting events, school activities, or performances, Margaret rarely missed an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of her children and grandchildren.
As the family matriarch in Oklahoma, Margaret created cherished traditions that brought generations together. Sunday dinners at Grandma’s house became a beloved family gathering, where children and grandchildren shared meals, stories, and laughter. Many of her granddaughters learned to cook by her side, mastering family recipes that continue to be passed down and enjoyed today in both Oklahoma and Colorado.
In 2010, Margaret relocated to Colorado, where she remained for the rest of her life. During her years there, she treasured watching two of her great-grandchildren grow up and welcomed frequent visits from her Oklahoma family during holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions.
Margaret is survived by her son, Marty White of Denver, Colorado; her grandson, Cashin White of Denver, Colorado; her granddaughters, Lacey Fry of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Lindsay Fry of Claremore, Oklahoma; and eight beloved great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. White; her parents, Eileen and Harry Peale; her three siblings; and her daughter, Karen Fry of Claremore, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held in Oklahoma at a later date, with details to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tulsa Rotary Foundation in Margaret’s honor. Donations can be made through the Tulsa Rotary Give Lively Foundation.

Also survived by her firstborn granddaughter, Leslie Childers of Claremore Oklahoma. Somehow she was left off the list. Aunt Margaret was a great lady, I miss her chocolate sheet cake she always brought to family dinners!
