Patrick Ray Bramley was a rare soul who embodied immense physical strength and a deep intellectual and inner discipline. In his later years, he projected a warm, gentle kindness that touched everyone he knew. He died on September 28th, 2026, and though his absence is profound, the imprint of his strong presence remains forever with his children and grandchildren, his beloved friends, and the people with whom he worked and volunteered alongside.
Born on September 14th, 1939, Patrick grew up in Tigard, Oregon with his mother Alda, father Ellis, sister Dorcy and brother Bill. He joined the Army as a teenager, later transferred to the Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1961. He worked as a Chief Computer Programmer at C.A. Norgren through the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, and was a member of Mensa. After retiring, he volunteered for the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife. He loved sharing his passion and knowledge of wildlife, wilderness adventures and the joy of camping and hiking with his family and friends.
He was an exceptional archer and a gifted craftsman. Over the years he built a wineglass-wherry wooden rowboat, carved mountain and hammered dulcimers, and created beautiful stained-glass windows – each piece reflecting his creativity and drive for perfection.
Those who carry his memory forward are his son Kent Michael Bramley (Elizabeth Ann Bramley); his daughter Kyleen Dawn Hinojos (Daniel Brian Hinojos); and his loving girlfriend of 9 years, Ann Louise Becker; his grandchildren Connor Bramley, Emily Shreiner (Taylor Shreiner), Brianna Hinojos, Nicholas Hinojos, Liam Bramley; and his niece Dorleena Bramley and nephew John Bramley.
Patrick was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 49 years Barbara Lee (Stephenson) Bramley, and his sons Kelly Bramley and Kevin Bramley.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held on October 5th, 2026, at 9:30am at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Those wishing to honor Patrick may contribute to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, honoring his devotion to protecting and caring for Colorado’s wildlife resources.
