Norma Jean Vitello

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Jean Vitello, Denver, Colorado, on August 27, 2026.

Norma was born on March 1, 1947 in Cleveland Ohio to parents James and Catherine Vitello.   After college at Bowling Green, she lived for several years in Indianapolis.   She then moved to Southeast Denver in the late 1970’s.     From that time, she worked at Porter Hospital, in the Cath Lab until her retirement.  

Norma had an extraordinary love for animals.   Throughout her life, she shared her heart and home with many dogs and cats, providing them with a home filled with compassionate love and care. 

Norma had a passion for gourmet cooking and absolutely loved preparing evenings of wonderful meals and entertainment for her many friends.   Her kindness, wisdom, and laughter touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and that legacy will continue in the lives that she touched. 

Her friends, family, and many others all experience a life that was made better by knowing Norma.  When we remember her, it will be with thoughts of her spirit of adventure and intelligence, her sharp sense of humor, and her generous heart.
