                                                      Remembering Linda L. Maldonado
Linda entered into her eternal rest with Jesus in Heaven on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Linda was born in San Luis, Colorado on June 7, 1949 to Agapito and Susie Sanchez.

She married Juan on January 27th,1968. She was his “Bayba” and he was her “Baybo”, inseparable partners for 58 years.

Her love for her family knew no bounds. An expert at spoiling her grandchildren, there will never be a greater champion than Grandma Linda.

A woman of faith, she knew and loved Jesus. Incredibly humble, shy and yet feisty. She never wanted to be the center of attention. Always behind the scenes making sure everyone she loved was cared for, prayed for, and supported through all life’s challenges and celebrations. She was truly a wife of noble character (Proverbs 31).

Family gatherings, golf with friends and family, penny slots, red wine, chicken wings, purses, and shoes were some of the things she enjoyed most.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Juan; her son John Maldonado (Erica) and her daughter Luanne Heronema (Eric Sr.); her three grandchildren Samantha (David), Eric Jr. (Sabrina), and Jonathan (Estrella); and her three great-grandchildren Magnolia, Adeline, and Ezreal.

  2. We are so very sorry to hear about Linda’s passing Juan. She grew up in a town in the Valley very close to where Cece did. Please accept our sincere condolences on your family’s loss. And may God bless the rest of your family, keeping all of you safe and healthy.

  3. Our hearts are absolutely broken over the loss of such an incredible woman. She was so much more than an auntie—she was a loving sister, a devoted mom, a cherished daughter, a wonderful friend, and a beloved wife. She touched so many lives simply by being who she was, and she was truly an inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know and love her.

    There are some people whose presence leaves a mark on your heart forever, and she was one of those people. Her love, laughter, strength, kindness, and the memories she gave us will never be forgotten. It is so hard to imagine our family without her, and there simply are no words big enough to describe how deeply she will be missed.

    We are incredibly grateful for every moment, every laugh, every hug, and every memory we were blessed to share with her. Although our hearts are filled with sadness, they are also filled with love and gratitude for the beautiful person she was.

    Rest peacefully, Auntie. You were loved beyond measure, you inspired more people than you probably ever knew, and you will forever hold a very special place in all of our hearts. Until we meet again. ❤️
