Jerry W. Dillard, age 83, died in his home in Aurora, CO on August 9, 2026. He was a graduate of Centennial High School. After graduation he went on to join the United States Air Force in August of 1961. Jerry met his wife Paula Joyce Dillard on a third-party telephone line while obtaining his Air Force entrance exam. They were married in Denver on June 11, 1966. Jerry spent 26 years in the Air Force before retiring.
Jerry was room father for his children’s school as well as baseball and bowling coach. He loved playing games. He is survived by his wife, Paula Joyce Dillard, their daughter Ginger
L. (Robert) Boughan, their son Mitchell W. (Sara) Dillard, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two younger sisters Margaret Speed and Martha Rohr. He was preceded in death by his parents and five other siblings.
Funeral services will take place at Stork-Morley in Colorado on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:30 am. Burial services will follow immediately after at Fort Logan with military honors. Following the service, dinner will be served at the Golden Corral, in a private room, in Sheridan, CO. Mr. Dillard lived an amazing life. I would also like to say thank you for the service that he provided to our country and loved ones.
Our deepest condolences for the loss of Jerry. He will always be fondly remembered for the many years we were Blessed to have known him and worked with him. We pray for peace and comfort for you all.
