Veronica Ledford

veronica ledford

August 14, 1986 ~ May 17, 2026

Veronica Ledford, 39, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed away on May 17, 2026.

Veronica was a tremendously talented artist, a devoted animal lover, and a compassionate friend to all, especially those most in need.

Born on August 14, 1986, she was the beloved daughter of the late Pam Mathewson and the late Richard Ledford. She followed her passion for art to college, where she earned a degree in Art History. Went to Japan as a study aboard. She carried that love of learning and beauty into everything she created. She was known for her stunning artwork, particularly her pieces featuring galactic backgrounds — vast, luminous skies full of stars, color, and wonder that felt as infinite and kind as she was.

She had a profound love of cats and opened her home and heart to many throughout her life, particularly those who were shy, abandoned, or in need of a second chance. She gave them safety, patience, and unconditional love.

Veronica will also be remembered for her fierce compassion for people who were down and out. She never looked away from someone who was struggling. She offered help without hesitation or judgment — a hot meal, a place to rest, a ride, a long conversation, and the unwavering belief that every person has worth. For many, Veronica was the one person who did not give up on them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ledford, Pam Mathewson and In many ways took the best from both of them.
The world was a brighter place with Veronica in it. Please remember the good that was brought into this world and we will all be better for it!

Survived by her furry children, and husband Stephen Yuresko, friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Laramie, Wyoming 2027, on what would have been her 41st birthday. Please contact Stephen Yuresko for more information.

Guestbook

  1. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet this seemingly amazing and talented lady. It sounds like she brought joy and comfort to many. I do want to send my condolences to Stephan, It’s been a long, long time, but I just wanted to send a long distance hug. I know that there isn’t anything to be said, that can take the pain away. I just want you to know that I see you. And although no one person’s pain is the same, I do know what it’s like to lose the person you were set to spend the rest of your life with.

  2. Stephan, you and I and your wife have never met. I am so sorry to have never met her. She sounds like a wonderful woman and someone I would love to have called her my friend. I am so sorry for your loss but know you will carry her memories and love going through your life. I send you many hugs from here in WV
