Sheila D. Archuleta relinquished her earthly body to the lord and savior Jesus Christ on July 12th 2026. Sheila passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family and friends; she was a woman of strong faith in our lord Jesus Christ. On a daily routine she would send a group text to her children every morning, encouraging them to say prayers and be thankful for just another day. Sheila’s passing was unexpected which leaves a deep absence in our hearts and to everyone who knew her and loved her.
Sheila was born in August 1965 in Denver, Colorado to Tony Fernandez Sr. and Virginia (Dolly) West who both proceeded in death. Sheila was one of four siblings and the only girl in the family she is also preceded in death by all three of her brothers Tony Fernandez Jr, George Fernandez and Benjamin (Benny) Ruiz.
Sheila was a Loving mother of four wonderful kids Odyssey (Andres) Bocanegra, Destiny (Franco)Fernandez–Archuleta, Raymond Archuleta, Monique Archuleta, she was a loving and Caring Grandma nickname(Nana)to Robert, Demetrius, Marcos, Alyssiya, Aaron, Liam, Camila, Isabel, Raymond III, Nathaniel, BellaRae. Sheila also was a foster parent to five other children, and to many of her children friends she was like a second mother.
Sheila Is Survived by her husband Raymond Archuleta Sr, they meet Dec 27th 1987 and joined together in marriage in March 1988 they formed a bond of love and friendship for thirty-nine years half a year shy of forty years, Raymond’s unwavering care and devotions to Sheila meant the world to her, his love and compassion gave her comfort especially during her most difficult moments of the last two years.
Sheila’s Family moved around a lot in the Denver metro area until they settle down in West Denver , she attended Baker Junior High School before going on to Denver West High School from 1981-1983. She received her GED in 1990 and attended school to become a CNA (certified Nurse Assistant) Received her certificate in 1991 shortly afterward she began working for Saint Anthony Central Hospital for ten years in the Neurology department, she then went on to work for various nursing homes to help with patients on a closer and personal level of care for twelve years, then decided to work as a home health care provider to take care of her Mother Virginia, Sheila Continue home health care until her passing.
Sheila’s faith in the lord was a testament of authenticity and love she was deeply rooted in connection to her children, Grandchildren, Relatives, Friends and Neighbors, we Honor not only Sheila’s journey but most of all her memories that she created with all of us.
Sheila will be deeply missed forever loved and never forgotten, this is not goodbye just I’ll see you later.
