Born on October 7, 1970, Troy lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and love for his family. He built a career in the Operations and Transportation field, where he was known for his dedication and drive. But beyond his work, it was who he was as a person that left the greatest impact.

As a child, Troy was adventurous, wild, and full of energy. He spent his younger years getting into trouble, making memories, and living life to the fullest alongside his brother, Jeff. He was active in karate and always on the move, carrying that same energy and spirit with him throughout his life. Some of his most lasting memories were made when he and Jeff moved to San Diego. An experience that stayed with him and shaped so many stories he would later share.

Troy also shared a special bond with his mother, Linda. They loved traveling together, exploring new places, and trying different foods. Those moments of adventure and connection were something he valued and carried with him.

He had a way of bringing light into any room. He was funny, quick with a joke, and always knew how to make people smile or laugh, especially when they needed it most. His sense of humor is something that will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

He found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially at the lake or beach, where he loved boating, fishing, and simply being in the sun. He also enjoyed golfing, taking time to relax and enjoy life in his own way.

Above everything else, Troy was most proud of being a father. When his daughter, Brianna, was born, she became his whole world. She was the heart of everything he did. His love for her was constant and unwavering. He made sure she experienced life fully. Some of their most meaningful moments were the simplest ones: tossing the football outside, breaking into the neighborhood pool, laughing, talking, and just being together. To Troy, being her dad wasn’t just a role, it was his greatest purpose, and the one thing he was most proud of. The bond they shared was unbreakable, built on love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories that will never be forgotten.

He was so excited to become a grandfather and looked forward to meeting his granddaughters, Sage and Bryar. Though he did not get the chance to meet them, they will grow up knowing they were loved by him.

Troy is survived by his daughter, Brianna Garcia-Cosby (Kimberly Garcia-Cosby); his granddaughters, Sage and Bryar Garcia-Cosby; his mother, Linda K. Cosby; his brother, Jeff Cosby (Connie); his stepmother, Patricia Cosby; his niece Ashley Giron; and his nephew, Jaren Cosby.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willard “Butch” Cosby.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, gifts or donations may be sent to his daughter, Brianna Garcia-Cosby.

Troy will be remembered for the laughter he brought into people’s lives, the love he gave freely, and the way he showed up for people. He was taken too soon, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. However, his love, his humor, and his memory will live on through his family forever.

In true Troy fashion, he’d probably want to leave you with this, “I am Troy Cosby bitches!”
