Gary Lee Golden, age 74, was born on September 10, 1951, in Southern California and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in Littleton, Colorado. Gary was a devoted husband to Karen Golden, a loving father to Cambria and Hannah, and a proud grandfather to Scott.

The family is heartbroken by his passing; Gary’s warmth will be profoundly missed. Growing up in Southern California, he cherished his time at the beach, tended to his beloved exotic birds, and nurtured a passion for gardening. In 1994, Gary moved his family to Littleton, Colorado, where he later retired. For over 40 years, he dedicated his career to the truck parts industry, and management.
Gary was an avid collector of rocks, minerals, coins, stamps, shells and trains, his passions reflected his eclectic spirit. He played a significant role in his grandson Scott’s life, influencing his love for trains. Together, they spent countless days exploring places like Tiny Town, the Golden Train Museum, and the Hobby Train Store in Denver, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Known for his insightful life advice and comforting disposition, Gary was someone with whom one could have deep, genuine conversations.
He is survived by his wife Karen, daughters Cambria and Hannah and his adored grandson Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
In keeping with his nature, memorial services will be private and for immediate family only. For those wishing to honor Gary’s memory, find beauty in the little things like an interesting rock, birds singing, a train passing by, a good glass of wine or tequila, a nice view from the window, a beautiful sunset or sunrise. All of which would be a beautiful tribute to a life lived appreciating the details that so often go overlooked.
