Kathy was born 02-24-1950 to Elmer Tenorio and Emma Duffey Tenorio
at Denver, Colorado and passed away on April 8, 2025 with her family by
her side at age 75.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents. Kathy is survived by her
nephew, Christopher, whom she raised. He so lovingly called her is
“Cooool Aunt”. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Sharon)
Tenorio and James (Sally) Tenorio, nephews Phillip Tenorio, Devon (Jami)
Tenorio, Jeremy Franssen, and Anthony Silva, Niece Tiffany Tenorio as
well as great nephews and nieces.
Kathy retired from the Denver Police Department. Kathy loved concerts,
music by Bruce Springsteen & The Beatles to name a few. Her nephews
said she was a walking encyclopedia about the Beatles.
Kathy was a devoted daughter and took care of her Mother Emma until
her mothers death. Kathy became the Matriarch of the family at that time
and was kind to us all.
Kathy’s favorite and peaceful pastime was walking the steps at Red
Rocks which she had started doing about 30 years prior.
Per Kathy’s request she will be cremated. A celebration of her Life will be
at a later date as per her wishes.
