Waldemar "Walter" Schimming

Waldemar "Walter" Schimming, age 82, of Wheat Ridge, CO, passed away on December 30, 2023. Born on August 3, 1941, in Kalisz, Poland, Walter was a hardworking and dedicated individual who made a significant impact on those around him.

Walter spent a large part of his life working diligently, showcasing his exceptional business sense and remarkable skills in various fields. He possessed an extraordinary talent for fixing things, whether they were electrical, mechanical, or plumbing-related. Throughout his career, Walter held several positions, including Regional Manager of SoFro Fabrics, Realtor, Property Manager and Landlord. Ultimately, he became involved in owner-financed mortgages.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Walter had a diverse range of hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He was a football fan, enjoyed watching mystery TV shows, and had a passion for collecting stamps and art.

Walter cherished the deep and meaningful friendships he cultivated over the years. He was also known for his unwavering loyalty to his parents and extended family and his devotion to his only child, Nicole.

Walter will be deeply missed by his surviving loved ones, including his daughter Nicole Schimming, his ex-wife Alice Lee Main, and his aunt Aldona Schimming. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Schimming, and his mother, Irena Schimming.

A memorial service to celebrate Walter's life will be held on February 8th at 10:30 am at the Stork-Morley Funeral and Cremation home located at 1895 Wadsworth Blvd in Lakewood. The funeral home is honored to assist the family during this difficult time.
