Arnold Arthur Graphenteen

Arnold Arthur Graphenteen, fondly known as Arnie, was born on September 20, 1932, in Trosky, Minnesota to Fred and Lore Graphenteen. He graduated from Edgerton High School, where he loved to play basketball, at times scoring 25 points a game!! He also loved the game of football.
After high school he joined the Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after four years. He returned home to marry Janice Eernisse on September 21, 1956. They farmed in Leota, Minnesota until 1963 after which they ventured out to Colorado where they lived the rest of their 66 years of marriage.
Arnie worked at Shell Oil Company as a pipefitter and later foreman for over 25 years. He was a handy man, and after retiring kept busy with activities such as painting houses, maintenance at his church, traveling, camping, fishing, attending Rockies baseball and Bronco games. However, his greatest love was attending every possible game his grandchildren played.
Arnie peacefully passed away on March 17, 2023. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice, children, Brenda (Sam) Houston, Diane (Bill) Blosser and Jana (late husband Rod) McBeth, 8 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Leroy (Pat) Graphenteen of Ontario, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lore; two brothers, Clarence (Lois) Graphenteen and Les (Linda) Graphenteen; one sister, Lorna (Mel) Regnier.
He will be remembered for his faithfulness, his love and commitment to his family as well as others, and of course his tender heart that went along with his sweet smile.

I just saw that Arnie had passed. I worked with Arnie at Peace With Christ , my folks were in a bible study with him and Jan, and worked with Brenda. So sorry for your loss. He always had a twinkle in his eyes! Paula (Fabrizius) Ulibarri
