David A. Smith
Dave was brought into this world to Wayne and Roberta Smith in 1953,
From the early age of three he became an avid skier, and soon became a junior Olympian. He actively participated in Boy Scouts and went on to become an Eagle Scout. At the age of 18 Dave joined the Navy and became a Navy SEAL. After the Vietnam War he left the teams and served on the USS John C. Calhoun. After Dave left the Navy he married Elizabeth Lynette Smith, and took himself from digging holes to make ends meet to become a very successful computer engineer. Dave took great enjoyment in driving around the mountains, sailing, and having a good laugh. Dave also had a strong passion for his country, and his faith. He is survived by his son Allen and his grandson Wayne. Graveside services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 12:00 Noon (staging area A).
A reception will follow the graveside services at: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 999 E. Tufts Avenue, Cherry Hills, CO 80113.
