Donald M. Heckman

Don M. Heckman, 96, joined his wife (deceased June 10, 2004) L. Evelyn Heckman on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. The two had lived a very full and happy life in Denver and Houston. Don and Evelyn’s adventures led them to Humble, Texas where they owned and operated the Rockin’ R Ranch. Travels, sports, and a love of books filled their later years. Friends and family will miss their stories of the Great Depression, service in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, and trips around the world. Their curiosity and love of family brought joy through the years.They are survived by: two sons, Don (Barbara) and Brian (Ann); six grandsons, David, Carey (Jenny), Scott (Kristen), Doug (Jenn), Ryan (Katie) and Eric (Erin); seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathan. Evan, Elliott, Chase, Reese, and Bennett.
