E. Maureen "Marnie" Leahy

 86, of Highlands Ranch, CO died peacefully April 24, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Leahy was born November 1, 1925, in Springfield, IL to James and Edna (Hilliard) Sullivan.  She attended Benedictine College, Atchison, KS, graduating in 1947 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry. Following college, she was employed by Skelly Oil Company before marrying Dr. David D. Leahy, Jr. of Pratt, KS in 1949 who preceded her in death. She enjoyed her family, traveling, knitting and quilting. She was also an avid bridge player.

Lovingly remembered by her six children, Diane Leahy Gough (Greg), Sheila Leahy Eaton (Jim), David D. Leahy III (J'Dena), Maureen Leahy (Kent Weltmer), Carol Leahy Helms (Thomas) and Colleen Leahy Malone (Patrick); thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brother, James M. Sullivan, Jr., Olpe, KS; sisters Rita Johnson, Bellevue, WA and Geraldine Wallace, Phoenix, AZ.

Recitation of the Rosary Bullock Colonial Chapel Saturday 1:00 p.m. followed by a visitation at 1:30.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Catholic Charity: Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
